#2 Lunch and Learn updates
• We had a good winter LnL by Stephanie Madsen and Mary Ryther from the Town of Falmouth. It was
not recorded but their slides are available.
• Spring: Dr. Kumara. Soonest would be April, otherwise May. What time of day? Avoid
lunchtimes because of seminars. So 4 pm on Tu-Th?
• Add a hands-on demonstration and potluck kind of thing? Could use the kitchen at Clark 5
• Other LnL ideas:
• Megan Amsler (Self-Reliance energy co-op)
• Leslie Jonas (WHOI tribal liaison)
• Native Land Conservancy
• More details of recycling (e.g. county coordinator?)
• WHOI recycles plenty of metal, maybe facilities would be interested?
• Public transportation (county, RTA? Seb will find a contact)

#3 Garden/landscape updates
• LOSOS meadow update from Sebastien
• Saved one tree from Clark renovation
• Rick G will talk to donors who funded the cherry trees. But new landscaping on hold right now
because of federal funding situation.
• Would Natalie’s office be motivated to fund this, because it’s for the benefit of
community-building?

#4 WHOI Gift Shop Sustainability
• Colin Reed is looking into using recycled materials from Recover Brands at the WHOI gift
shop. They are looking for feedback on this idea.

#5 Brainstorm of events and activities — follow up from last time and open discussion
• Repair cafe late March/early April
• Mike McCarthy found the engineers, knew about tool kits
• Last time hosted in AVAST, they might have contributed tools too
• Reserve space, get snacks/drinks
• Fall fabric repair cafe?
• Different pool of fixers than the standard repair cafe
• Walks on WHOI campus by Will Poirier or T3C TerraCorps people?
• Bike to work day: organized by larger group, maybe Falmouth Bike Committee? Could ask Susan Mills
