#2 Lunch and Learn updates
• Spring LnL updates
• Could ask Megan about a spring LnL. What topic should we ask about?
• State of wind energy? (No one really knows yet.)
• Heat pumps? Only relevant to homeowners
• Solar? We had one somewhat recently
• Native landscape person? About natural ways to fertilize, etc. Would be timely for spring.
“A Year in the Life of Your Garden.” Could ask C.L. Fornari?
• Alex will confirm with Natalie that we still have ERG funding

#3 Event planning
• Spring Repair Cafe
• Wait until Fadime is back; then organize
• Earth Day activity?
• Trash pickup?
• Email about energy reduction? Similar to last year’s plastics email.
• More general beautification (trash pickup, invasive pulling)
• Caro is interested in organizing this

#4 Garden/landscape updates
• Planning for spring garden plot restart
• Liz and Kai planted garlic. Email organizing cleanup coming soon.
• How is landscape budget/work changing?
• It will affect 2026 budget, expecting to reduce by 10%.

#5 Other discussion
• Solar installation is progressing on the David Center roof. Beyond that, we’re running out of
roof space to add solar.
• Report from energy consultant shows that WHOI is making progress on emissions reductions.
Improvement in both scope 1 and scope 2 emissions, with consistent downward trend since
2021.
• Can we get Dave or Kathryn to present this along with the EMP to the WHOI
community?
