Self Defense for Women
Thursday, August 5 & Friday, August 6, 2010
12 -1 p.m.
Carriage House
The ability to defend one's self is primarily a function of attitude and common sense, however having some physical skills to accompany that right mindset is a winning combination. This class (over two lunch hours on August 5 and 6) will be taught by Ginny Edgcomb, a Research Specialist in G&G Dept, and a 5th degree black belt in taekwondo. The class will be based on the nationally-recognized ProTech self defense program which teaches practical approaches and methods for self defense for all ages that do not require prior knowledge of martial arts. Come dressed comfortably for class, ready for some "hands-on" practice and a lot of fun.
