Sheri Neelam White
Senior Engineer, Applied Ocean Physics & Engineering
I was born and raised in Texas, but I'm half-Hoosier and half-Asian-Indian. I started out majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University and Co-oping at NASA Johnson Space Center. But then came to WHOI for grad school – earning a PhD in Marine Geophysics from the WHOI-MIT Joint Program. After a few years at MBARI working on in situ Raman spectroscopy for my Post-doc, I returned to WHOI as an Assistant Scientist to work on ocean instrumentation. I'm now a Senior Engineer in AOPE working on the Ocean Observatories Program.
