Annual Social Event with Honored Guest Speaker Mitzi Crane, First Woman Master of WHOI's R/V Atlantis

Mitzi Crane is the first and only woman to skipper the R/V Atlantis.  She holds a BA degree in French from Juniata College and a BS degree in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy.  She has earned her Master’s license sailing on tankers and bulkers.  From a career in banking to a to an adventure in sailing, she has taken an incredible journey to distant lands, dangerous places and the deep ocean floor.  She has met interesting people and found her true treasure on her Black Sea runs. Come spend an evening with her as she reflects on 30 years of a seagoing career.
