Thanks to Kevin + Al, members of the Recreation Committee, we now have, in addition to bocce and corn hole, tennis racquets, balls + volleyballs.\u00a0 Storage sheds, intended to house the gear, are being delivered soon to each campus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July events have been scheduled. Check out Headlines for future event dates!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>#2 \u00a0Clean Energy Center Intern (CEC)\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 Three interns, Moira, Brianna and Michael, are available to help us with the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>monitoring eGauge metering data at Bell, Challenger, Fenno + Server room in Clark. Analyze for inconsistencies and identify ways to save money on energy bill.<\/li>\n<li>analyzing 2014 and\/or 2015 utility data<\/li>\n<li>help in facilitating WSS events (Whoi Social Sustainability)<\/li>\n<li>update STF Website \/ and outdated transportation webpages (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.whoi.edu\/WHOI\/transportation\/bicycling.htm\">http:\/\/www.whoi.edu\/WHOI\/transportation\/bicycling.htm<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>power down sticker campaign (help Andrea)<\/li>\n<li>solar parking lot research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>Action:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet Megan + new interns to discuss tasks (Done June24 -SM)<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>#3 :\u00a0<\/b><b>WHOI Appreciation Picnic<\/b>\u2013\u00a0 We debriefed on composting at the event. Lessons learned:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hide the trash barrels (it gets confusing for people)<\/li>\n<li>Add another composting bin (we had 3\u2026need 4)<\/li>\n<li>Add recycling bins (they were overflowing!) Bring big blue bins out from CRL to aid with that<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>Action:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remember these lessons for next year\u2019s event! (SM + PM)<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>#4 Metering eGauge update:<\/b>All eGauges and Ethernet connections (thanks Matt!) have been installed (Fenno, Bell, Challenger + Computer Server Room).<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Action:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Group will meet Tuesday, July 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0at 1:00 in IS Conference Room to discuss data management, storage + dashboard features (SM)\u00a0 Please let me know if you want to attend.<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>#5 EV Charging Stations<\/b>&#8211; Wediscussed user feedback, rate in particular. Several users think rate of $1.25 per hour is too high<\/p>\n<p><i>Action:<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drop rate to $1.00\/hour (for the time being) (SM)<\/li>\n<li>Bring EV users together in meeting format to discuss rates and whether they want internet connectivity (SM)<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>#6\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>Skip the Straw Campaign \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Danie KinKade explained her daughter\u2019s group efforts regarding Skip the Straw (and single use plastics) campaign.
