Wednesday, Feb 14<sup>th<\/sup>at Noon, Meigs Room in Swope Building (MBL). Falmouth Town Hall in the Selectmen Room. Presentation has been confirmed with EDIC and Ye.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EVENT:\u00a0 Feb 13 at 8:30 at Falmouth Town Hall in Selectmans\u2019 Room<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0#4\u00a0 Nitrile Glove Recycling Program \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>We shipped 255 lbs of nitrile gloves to Right Cycle Program (Kimberly Clark). It\u2019s great to see so many labs recycling non-contaminated gloves! Thanks to Steve Senior\u2019s team for facilitating the program at WHOI!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>#5 LED lighting update<\/strong>&#8211; saving lots of energy and money with continued LED light installations!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The following buildings have been updated with LED lights as of Feb 1, 2018: Clark Lab, Clark Parking Lot, Geosecs, Marine Ops, Fye<\/li>\n<li>Wicked Watts doing audits on additional Whoi buildings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>#6 Solar update\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation on Fye + McLean Roof is happening in February 2018! Work has begun!<\/li>\n<li>Off-site Solar projects are up and running!\u00a0 We see a credit on our utility bills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take Photographs + Drone footage of solar installation (SM +KK)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>#7\u00a0 Recycling #5 plastics (yogurt cups etc) \u2013<\/strong>There is no pick up service on Cape Cod associated with this program so we encourage individuals to collect #5 plastics and bring to WholeFoods stores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>#8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 New Business \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coffee composting- Grounds To Grow On. Although we don\u2019t endorse use of K-cups because of the waste they generate, we would like to encourage Departments to compost the cups\/grounds after use.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.groundstogrowon.com\/keurig\/home.html\">https:\/\/www.groundstogrowon.com\/keurig\/home.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have STF members pilot the program and offer feedback at next meeting.
