\n\t\tEV Charging Stations\n\t<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEV Charging Station Locations\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t

We’re excited that you’re interested in using WHOI’s Electric Vehicle Charging Stations from Blink Charging!<\/p>\n\n

Create a Blink Charging account by downloading the Blink app or by visiting blinkcharging.com and following instructions to create an account.<\/strong> When you create your account, you must associate a form of payment (credit or debit card). This card will transfer $20.00 into your Blink account to act as a debiting system for your charging needs.<\/p>\n\n

1. Login to your Blink account<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

6. Email Liz Maloney<\/a> to indicate that you have requested access. (Blink does not currently notify us when there’s a request pending, so if you don’t tell us, it might be days before we notice your request.)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Once you’ve been approved you can use the Blink app to start a charging session at whichever WHOI charger is most convenient for you.<\/strong> If you prefer, you can request a Blink card through your account, which allows you to begin charging sessions without using the app.<\/p>\n

The cost to use the chargers at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is $1.75\/hr. with the exception of the chargers at the School St Lot which are $2.25\/hr. (Rates are subject to change without notice).<\/strong> This charge is considered a parking fee and will remain in effect from the time you plug in your vehicle until the time you unplug your vehicle from the station, regardless of how long it takes for your battery to fully charge. Please turn on “Charge Status” notifications in the Blink app if you would like to receive a text message or email letting you know that your battery has finished charging.<\/p>\n

These Chargers are Level II (240V; 30A) commercial-grade stations. Charging times vary, so please refer to your vehicle owner’s manual if you’re not sure how long it will take to charge your car.<\/p>\n

If you are having trouble accessing the station, please send an email to Liz Maloney<\/a> and contact Blink Customer Support at 1-888-998-2546.<\/p>\n\n

\u2022 In consideration of other EV users, please move your vehicle when your battery is completely charged.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The fee will remain in effect from the time you plug in your vehicle until the time you unplug your vehicle from the station, regardless of how long it takes for your battery to fully charge.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The EVC stations are for WHOI employees and guests only. They are not for public use.<\/p>\n
