A volunteer group set up two beehives in the Spring of 2020. A modest amount of beautiful &#8216;First Year&#8217; Honey was harvested in October, and we would like to distribute several jars to the WHOI community via an\u00a0<strong>Online Auction<\/strong>. In the tradition and spirit of the Holidays, all proceeds will be donated to the\u00a0<strong>Falmouth Service Center<\/strong>. The auction will be held Dec. 14-18, with delivery Dec. 19-23.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Send total $ raised to group after auction ends (EB)<\/li>\n<li>Thank WHOI Communications for donating cloth lunch bags for auctioned honey packaging! (SM)<\/li>\n<li>Recruit Bee Hive helpers in Spring (Bee Group) &#8211; Kevin Nikolaus volunteered and Lauren Dykman will recruit from the JP Grad Student group.<\/li>\n<li>Create list of materials + associated costs needed for next Bee season (DK)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hike to Dunes near Eastham on a weekend &#8211; date tbd<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Action:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>Kevin Nikolaus pick a date and reach out to Sarah, Lauren and Steph<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lunch n Learn &#8211; Beehive update for all of WHOI (Karen Soenen) date March- before hives open up<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lunch n Learn -Recreation Committee and YMCA update &#8211; Justin Ossolinski + Karen Soenen (or YMCA Rep) date tbd (maybe mid-February)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Action:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>Introduce Karen S to Justin Ossolinski via email &#8211; they&#8217;ll select a date and create Zoom \u00a0(SM)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ongoing: Beach Clean-up Shore Lab Crew &#8211; partnering with T3C + WHOI neighbors to create a monthly beach cleanup activity. Lots of WHOI people participated!\n<ul>\n<li>The organizer, Alan Robinson, requested help from WHOI. He&#8217;d like a liaison to help organize and host community wide feedback Zoom meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce Sarah Youngs (Whoi&#8217;s litter liaison) to Alan Robinson (Director of Litter Free Falmouth) &#8211; Steph via email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>#5<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 Whoi&#8217;s Your Buddy Program- work in progress &#8211; <\/strong>Workplace Climate Committee wants to move forward with the program, the Women&#8217;s Committee is interested as well. Please join the working group to get it off the ground.
