How to Recycle Marine Shrink Wrap
**It’s very important to follow the instructions below. Any foreign material in the shrink wrap can jeopardize our ability to recycle the entire container.
- Remove all rope, twine, strapping, wood frames, doors, zippers, and other non-shrink material. Only white shrink wrap is allowed in the container!
- Keep shrink wrap clean and dry – no mud, rainwater, leaves, etc.
- Only include WHITE shrink wrap — please do not include blue or clear!
- Bundle shrink wrap and tie it using a strip of shrink wrap only.
Shrink Wrap Removal “Time Saving Tip”:
If you cut the shrink cover just above the horizontal belly band, all of the string will be instantly separated from the shrink wrap and can be disposed of in the regular trash dumpster. The clean shrink wrap can then be folded and rolled up into a tight bundle for recycling.
Remaining wood, vents, doors, and other string must be disposed of in the trash.
