Leveling is via motorized gimbals. <br \/>\nAir-weight (less 220 lb. anchor but with one-year battery pack) is 1,000 lbs. Water-weight on bottom (less sensor) is 93 lb. Buoyancy (less anchor) is 75 lb.<br \/>\nExpected descent rate of ~55 m\/min. Expected ascent rate of ~48 m\/min.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-3 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>Data Logger<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Quanterra Q330 6-channel data engine with 24-bit A\/Ds. <br \/>\nSimultaneous sample rates of 200, 100, 50, 40, 20, 10, and 1 Hz.<br \/>\nQuanterra Packet Baler 44 storage device with dual 16 GB flash disks (optional 64 GB capacity).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-4 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>Clock<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Symmetricom Chip-Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC). When deployed, the seismometer package is mechanically decoupled from motion of the OBS frame.  Seismometer package has a water weight of 24.5 lb.  <br \/>\nDifferential Pressure Gauge (DPG) long-period pressure sensor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-6 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>Recording Duration<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Lithium battery pack for ~12 months recording at 40 Hz.<br \/>\nSeparate keep-alive battery for clock.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-7 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\"><strong>Operation<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Operated in closed-housing mode i.e. programming of acquisition parameters, offloading of data, clock setting, etc, all done through penetrators.
