Using scylla

The Scylla Cluster is a shared parallel processing cluster available to all members of the WHOI community. This resource is also available to external entities through third-party or cooperative agreements. The Scylla Cluster provides over 1,400 compute cores connected by a mixed Infiniband fabric with interconnect speeds from 40Gb/s to 100Gb/s. In total, the Scylla Cluster provides over 15 TFLOPS of performance.

Below are the steps you will need to follow to use resources on the scylla cluster (PDF):

  1. Create an ssh-key
  2. Request an account
  3. Log in to scylla.whoi.edu
  4. Manage your software environment
  5. Create SGE job script(s)
  6. Submit job(s) using SGE
  7. Manage job(s) using SGE
  8. Manage your data
