As graduate students, we are most exposed to the well-traveled career paths to academia, but what else can you do with a PhD in Oceanography, or any field for that matter? <\/strong><\/p>\n

On November 19, the MIT\/WHOI Broader Impacts Group and COSEE will co-host a Science Caf\u00e9 at the Captain Kidd titled \u201cA Versatile PhD: industry, education, policy, and consulting career paths after graduate school\u201d. There will be a brief panel discussion featuring four professionals with PhDs, followed by time to socialize and meet the panelists over appetizers and drinks. This event aims to provide an avenue of discussion of what career paths lay outside of academia and what they entail.<\/p>\n
